Training for Girl’s Lacrosse Officials:
Saturday, December 2 at Grandville Middle School, 3535 Wilson Ave SW, Grandville MI 49418
From 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM, Nancy Lapekas, Assignor/Trainer for the West Michigan Women’s Lacrosse Official Association (WMWLOA), will host a clinic on the Rules and Standard Procedures for Officiating Girl’s Lacrosse and offer training with a mock game.
Training for Boy’s Lacrosse Officials:
Sunday, December 3 at Grandville High School, 4700 Canal Ave SW, Grandville, MI 49418
From 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM, Gordon Corsetti, Manager for the US Lacrosse Officials Development Program, will host a classroom presentation for those who officiate boy’s lacrosse.
The West Michigan Lacrosse Expo, a US Lacrosse sanctioned event, will be held on Sunday December 3rd from Noon-5:00 p.m. at Grandville High School (Athletic Entrance). 4700 Canal Ave, Grandville MI.
Both local officiating associations: WMWLOA and the Grand Rapids Area Lacrosse Officials Association (GRALOA) will have tables staffed in the vendor area to answer any questions about officiating lacrosse as well as registration forms.
Tom Rashid of the Michigan High School Athletic Association (MHSAA), (of which you will need to join before high school spring assigning starts), will be making a classroom presentation at 12:30 PM on MHSAA Regulations & Rationale: Lax Health & Safety History in Boy’s Lacrosse.
Gordon Corsetti will be offering the keynote address at 1:15 PM in the main gymnasium for all attendees.
Bert Smith, President of GRALOA will be making a presentation at 2:00 PM on The Myths and Misconceptions in Boy’s Lacrosse Rules.
